According to the National Ledger, Britney Spears, 27, was asked to look at the script for a film, titled “The Yellow Star of Sophia and Eton.” Spears is currently touring the world with her successful “Circus” tour.

If Spears accepts the role, she will be playing the main character, Sophia LaMont. Reportedly, in the film, Sophia “creates a time machine and travels back to World War II and falls in love with a Jewish man named Eton at a concentration camp.” The two fall in love and travel back to the present day with the hopes of getting married, but, unfortunately, they are both killed by the Nazis.

Spears has not been seen on the big screen since she starred in the 2002 film, “Crossroads,” which was not praised by critics.
