American pop star Britney Spears wants her young sons to meet the Queen of England over high tea.
The 27-year old hit maker who is currently performing at London's O2 arena, wants to visit the Buckingham palace with her two sons -- Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2 -- so that they can meet the 83-year-old monarch, reported Mirror online.

"Britney's schedule has been crazy from the minute she arrived in Britain. But no way does she want to leave without visiting the queen.

She has told her aides she is desperate for her sons to rub shoulders with royalty. And she does not want to be disappointed," a source close to the singer told the newspaper.

The singer who has often been accused of lip syncing through her live performances has also raised eyebrows with the raunchy content of her 'Circus' tour. But the 'Toxic' singer has always been open about her love for the royalty and had earlier befriended the Queen's grandson, Prince William.

"We exchanged emails for a little bit and he was supposed to come and see me somewhere but it didn't work out," Spears had said about her association with the young royal.
