Pop superstar Britney Spears has been making music for a long time now. According to accomplished musician and DJ Moby, Britney doesn’t make music. Talking recently to the music website Spinner, Moby said that music is not the word to describe the product that comes from Spears. Including other pop artists such as Rihanna, Ke$ha, and the Black Eyed Peas, Moby dished “”It’s fun, but I don’t think of it as music”. Moby went on to say “It’s manufactured. I appreciate it as pop culture phenomenon and some of the songs I like if I hear them in a shopping mall or something, but it doesn’t function as music for me. “It’s manufactured. Whether or not Moby thinks Britney Spears makes “music”, she has been very successful selling that music over the past decade. Spears has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Her debut album “Baby One More Time” was released in 1999. With a little help from MTV, Britney was sprung into superstardom at a relatively young age. Spears released her seventh studio album earlier this year. After a decade of tumultuous occurrences in her personal life that has included a marriage, children, Kevin Federline, and a bout with insanity, Spears seems to have settled a bit. The singing sensation has remained relevant for quite some time. She is still making music and wowing her fans with her impressive stage shows. She will be on tour for the rest of the year.
