Britney Spears’ most recent letter on her website has an expert worried that rehab has not helped solve some of the singer’s problems. In the letter, Britney tells her fans that she has had to “cut out” people from her life because of their underhand intentions.
"This letter is to not place blame on anyone, although I do see the world with a completely different set of eyes now...I think the whole problem was letting too many people into my life. You never know another persons[sic] intentions or what another person wants. I feel I was too open and looking for answers when I had it all to begin with. I have had to cut so many people out of my life," Us Weekly quoted her, as writing.
However, Dr Drew Pinsky feels that Britney’s words show that she is not “taking responsibility” for her actions, and is laying the blame on someone else. This behavior Dr Pinksy insists is “addict thinking”, and is a sign that the singer is still in a “bad place”.
"That's addict thinking. Addicts blame people, places and things for their behavior. The fact that she is not taking rigorous responsibility for her actions means she is in a bad place for recovery," Dr Pinsky says. Dr Pinksy also believes that Britney’s letter is like a “danger sign”, that is warning that the ‘Toxic’ singer is ‘on the road to relapse’. "It's horrible, it's very sad, but I see flashing danger signs. I think she is on the road to relapse, if she hasn't relapsed already," Pinsky said.
