Apprehensive that seeing her childhood friend and ex would cause "too much distress" Britney’s mother Lynne asked Justin not to visit Britney at Promises rehab. A relative of the family tells the Sunday Mirror, "Justin and Brit knew each other as kids and were first loves. Justin was distressed to learn about the state Britney was in. Lynne was touched by his gesture but begged him not to go.

"He asked Lynne to pass on his best wishes and promised to hook up with her at a later date." The relative also claims that since entering rehab Britney has abandoned her flirtations with cult belief Kaballah and has returned to her faith of Christianity. They say, "She has found comfort in her old Christian beliefs - and has been praying a lot." Britney’s flirtations with Kaballah started while she was seeing model / actor Issac Cohen.
