Hot Actress Britney Spears Glee episode 'set grave sample': Parents Television Council (PTC) named the Britney episode its worst show of the week and claimed it demonstrated exactly why families should not regard Glee and High School Musical as being the same sort of viewing.The ultra-conservative group, which describes itself as 'advocating responsible entertainment', also launched a savage attack on the content of the Britney episode. It suggested the show endorsed drug taking and 'public masturbation', but insisted that was not its most dangerous aspect.

'Perhaps most troubling is the deification of a troubled pop star into a symbol of empowerment and self-esteem,' PTC said in a statement.'Considering her stints in rehab, her very public breakdowns, and her questionable parenting skills, there is absolutely no way Spears should be considered a role model.'Producers of Glee are unlikely to be concerned by the criticism, as the episode attracted 13.3 million viewers in the US - the show's highest ever ratings. It proved so popular with Gleeks that five covers of Britney songs by the cast broke into the Billboard Hot 100.
